A bit mroe about who I am and what makes me that way....
I am a registered Adult Leader for BSA (Boy Scouts of America) and am an Asst. Scoutmaster for our troop and a Webelos Den leader & Asst. Cubmaster for our Pack. I love the scouting program. Its such a great thing for the kids to have in their lives, especially in the city. They learn life skills, respect for everyone and everything, they go camping, build things, cook for themselves, etc. Its just such a joy to watch them learn and I am very proud to be a part of that. I also love to go camping in general.In August 2010 I completed the NRA Range Safety Officer & Certified Rifle Instructor Courses. It was a lot of fun. So now I am allowed to teach youth how to shoot rifles & also allowed to open and run a rifle range. I'm by no means a gun nut/fanatic, however, I do believe that firearms have their place in this world. That's as far as I'm gonna go on that here.
I loathe politics. I turly believe that listening to/reading politics is like listening to 4yr olds argue over who has the bluer toy. Yes, that is exactly how it plays out in my head.
Some people have kids, I have cats. I talk about them and photograph them a lot. They are cute and adorable and the apples of my eye, just deal with it. LOL!!
I am a smart ass & a goof ball and will often make fun of myself for doing stupid things (which happens more often than I care to admit). I also do tolerate fairly well being made fun of, unless your being mean spirited about it, in that case you suck! (and I will tell you so)
My family is strange, but then again who's isn't?
My friends, I love them like family. They are pretty much my everything. Some to drink with, some to cry to, Laugh with them all, etc. They are also amazing at keeping me grounded in reality.
Why do I blog?
My blogging adventure began mid September 2009 and I am working diligently to make my blog better all the time. I am very hard on myself, I always tell myself I can do better if I just slow down a little bit and take my time.In a selfish indulgence to try and get myself some more readers, and more feedback, and basically anonymous attention from strangers (Haha, well what else do you call it?), I am embarking in some new things on my blog. I hope that you will come along for the journey, and help to feed my ego a little bit along the way.
