But enough of that, you are all wondering, well how did he pop the question(and more importantly, where's the ring). so here's the story(and the ring)....
Rewind to about 7:30 sunday morning July 31st. technically its my day off from work at the camp and my only day of the week to sleep in. Pat was away at a bachelor party all weekend near Hunter Mt. The phone rings (gernally when this happens at that hour, that means a camper is very ill/injured) with heart racing I answer the phone, its Pat. He's asking if Im awake and wanting to go to breakfast. Huh? you're supposed to be in Hunter, what do you mean do I want to go to breakfast. He said he was on his way to camp and would be there in about 20 min or less. Answer, OKay, thats fine. Phone hung up, Sarah goes back to sleep. I mean afterall, we're only going to breakfast, right? Now he shows up and i get a good laugh cause he is very sunburnt from the day before after lounging in the pool all day. (LOL) He tells me he has a present for me. so now of course I am awake but still sitting in bed, hair uncombed, teeth unbrushed and he is giving me this beautiful box...
Its a puzzle box, that I have to figure out how to open to get at what is inside. If you can see in the picture above, in the bottom corner there appears to be a small imperfection in the wood, its actually a small carved heart. and I got a few clues on how to open it, such as consider its shape, let the heart guide you as a compass rose does etc. I got the box open (not in the way it was supposed to work, which upset pat, but it opened none the less. i didn't break it open either) and inside the box was this...
As you can see in the second picture, there is some paper on top of the earings. That paper was the second part of the puzzle. I had to figure out the word puzzle. (I happen to love word games, so he made me my very own word game. he's so thoughtful) Here I was thinking that I got an awesome little jewlery box and some very pretty earings. At this point, I kind of guessed something was up, but I wasn't sure. After 11 years, you kind of get used to not expecting to be proposed to. So I started putting together the word puzzle...
There were a total of 3 "Words", my first name, middle name and Pat's last name, not shown for obvious reasons. So when I put it all together, I just looked at him, and he said, will you? and of course the answer was YES! Insert lots of girly awesome emotion here. He pulls the green foam out of the box and underneath was this....
